![]() This first issue is very concerned with catching readers up to speed and reintroducing the roster of the Others. And don't worry if those names sound like a bunch of gobble-de-gook. ![]() While Arthur Curry plays a role in this book, the focus is more on the current lineup of the Others - Prisoner of War, Ya'wara, Sky Alchesay, and The Operative. The new creative team are able to deliver a competent first issue, if not the home run that a team book comprised of such obscure characters really needs to make a name for itself. Instead, writer Dan Jurgens and artist Lan Medina are picking up where Johns, Ostrander, Ivan Reis, and the rest left off. Ostrander handled his Aquaman stories well and would have been a good fit for this series, but that's not what we have here. ![]() ![]() Aquaman and the Others builds very directly on Geoff Johns' second story arc from 2012 and the two follow-up issues written by John Ostrander. ![]()
